Galvanized steel strip, also known as hot-dip galvanized steel strip (GI galvanized steel strip), uses hot-rolled/cold-rolled plain carbon steel (Q195, Q235, Q355, DX51D, etc.) as the base material. It employs a continuous hot-dip galvanizing process, immersing the entire steel strip in molten zinc to metallurgically bond a uniform zinc protective layer to the steel surface. It comes in three surface types: with zinc spangle, without zinc spangle, and fingerprint-resistant passivation. Thin-layer electro-galvanized strip is also available. The zinc layer forms a zinc-iron alloy layer with extremely strong adhesion, preventing cracking and zinc peeling during bending, stamping, and pipe rolling. Its cost-effectiveness far surpasses that of stainless steel, making it a core raw material for processing C-shaped steel, U-channel steel, angle steel, welded pipes, guardrails, and cable trays.
